What happened in the scripture?
In the scripture reading Luke: 26-38 The Birth of Jesus Foretold, we find out about Mary’s first encounter with God.
The Angel Gabriel is sent by God to Mary. He tells her she is going to
have a baby child and his name
will be Jesus. Gabriel spoke about Mary’s son's future, seated at the right hand of God the Father, and Jesus will take the throne. We know this because in the scripture Gabriel says to Mary
“Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have
found favour with God. 31 And now,
you will conceive in your womb and bear a son,
and you will name him Jesus. 32 He will be great,
and will be called the Son of the Most High…
” We now celebrate his birthday on the 25th of December.
Next in the scripture Mary said to Gabriel
“How will this be?” Mary asked the angel,
“since I am a virgin?”
And Gabriel said to Mary
“the Holy Spirit is with you and
it will help you and guide you.
” Then Gabriel said that
even your relatives Elizabeth are going
to have a baby at an old age.
Mary replied and said
“ I am the servant of the
lord let it be done according to his word”
and then the angel Gabriel vanished.
We know this because Mary said nothing will be impossible with God.” And Mary said,
“Behold, I am the servant of the Lord;
let it be to me according to your word.”
And the angel departed from her.
Lastly the scripture tells us that….
Mary said “Behold, I am the servant
of the Lord; let it be to me according
to your word.”

At the time Elizabeth was six months pregnant,
God sent his angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town
in Galilee, the woman who was soon to be a
virgin was
soon to be married to a man named Joseph
who lived in the house of David .
The soon virgin's name was Mary,
God's angel Gabriel went to her and said
“ Greetings you who are highly favoured”.
Mary was shocked to see an angel sent from God,
Mary found out that she was going to
have a baby boy and his name was going to be Jesus,
He will be the great and will be called the son of God,
who will be seated at the throne.
After hearing this Mary was heart filled
with Joy then she said “I am the servant of
the lord let it be done according to his word”.
Here is what I think the main event is about.
The main event is
Gabriel coming to Mary and telling her
she is going to have a baby child and the
baby name will be Jesus, he will be seated
at the right
hand of God the Father, and Jesus
will take the throne. Mary finding out that
she will be marrying a man named Joseph
who lived in the house of David.
When Mary said, “May your
word to me be fulfilled.” Elizabeth your
relative is going to have a child in her old age,
today in class we are talking about Mary and when she agreed to
be the mother of Jesus here is my work.
